SHAKE SHR 2D 120 / 150

The SHR SHAKE 2D 120 / 150 is built for higher X-Ray-power. These can rise up to 120 kV or 150 kV. Both devices can be used flexibly in the 2D analysis and metrology. The dimensional measurement technology is extended by the measurement of distances, microstructures, voids or others.

Device Description

The SHR SHAKE 2D 120 / 150 is a compact X-Ray system in 2D vertical design. It is designed for workpiece analysis and studies for crack and blowhole detection. The high-resolution X-Ray tubes and detector system can analyse objects with a diameter of 50 mm to 400 mm. In conjunction with the quick reconstruction "on-the-fly" dimensional volume models are calculated. Further processing of the data, for example, comparative measurements carried out, highly accurate on virtualworkpiece (CAD). Alternatively, also the classical dimensional evaluation is possible. The device is a full protection unit and like all our systems in accordance with theTÜV RöV tested and certified.

What can be measured using our SHAKE SHR 2D CT 120 / 150 ?

The industrial X-Ray CT provides an unlimited range of applications. X-Rays also maps concealed or internal structures. Thus, the CT can create a complete digital 2D image of  the specimen. Possible evaluations are:

  • Dimensional Measurement (wall thickness, 2D target-actual comparison
  • Reverse Engineering (return to CAD data)
  • Analysis of casting defects (pores, blowholes, cracks, inclusions, core mismatch)
  • Failure analysis example assembly errors and seals
  • Weld inspection (plastic, aluminum, steel)
  • Initial inspection (casting quality, target-actual comparison)
  • Serial testing or serial monitoring e.g. in castings
  • Investigation of composite materialsfiberbundle layer, delamination

Advantage and benefit of the SHAKE SHR 2D CT 120 / 150

The main advantage of the SHAKE SHR 2D CT 120 / 150 is the determination of 2D information to internal and unknown geometries. Blowholes can be determined in its position and size and so the X-Ray examination are supplemented by important depth information. Based on the present data set further evaluations such as wall thickness requirements, measurement of inner and outer contours, and extractions as a surface model for standard CAD programs are possible.

How works the SHAKE SHR 2D 120 / 150 ?

In a shielded against X-ray housing, the test object is X-rayed. In opposite of the X-ray source, the detector is positioned.
